The only reason why we should acclaim the "great man theory" is that it kindled the people to think about the leadership. what traits make a good leader?. As per the great man theory leaders are born leaders!. Its pointless. people develop leadership skills through education, experiences, personality combined with social context in which they lived. if we fallow game theory then we would say singers are born singers, fighters, dancers, actors are born we should say then. no one in the world possess a born traits, traits are always developed.
